Generally, this peak climbing is combined with Langtang Gosainkunda trek. You reach the destination by exploring the Langtang Valley up to Kyanjin Gompa. Then, by reaching the summit of Yala Peak, you move towards the Gosainkunda Lake via Sing Gompa. While walking along the well-defined trail, you have the wonderful view of snowcapped peaks, landscapes and glacial lakes.

Shishapangma (8,027) are some of the significant peaks. While climbing towards Gosainkunda Lake, you can see the mountains as far as Annapurna (8,091m) from Laurivinayak Pass (3,920m).
This trekking and peak climbing starts from a drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. From Syabrubesi, you can also go for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra as it is close to Kerung of Tibet. From Syabrubesi, you walk along the Langtang Valley surrounded by Langtang National Park. On the way, you might encounter many species of animals and birds playing in the oak, pine and rhododendron forests.
You walk past Langtang Village, one of the largest villages of the entire Langtang region. Then, crossing it, you reach Ghora Tabala, which has an airstrip for Langtang Helicopter tour. Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m) is another important stop where you can visit the government-run cheese factory and a gompa. The village itself is a vantage point of this region.
You can visit the Langtang Lirung Glacier, a glacial lake and Kyanjin Ri during a rest day at Kyanjin Gompa. Kyanjin Ri (4,600m) is one of the best viewpoints to have the majestic Himalayas. After a day’s acclimatization day at the gompa, you move towards the base camp of Yala Peak. The following day, you reach the summit of the peak and climb down to the base camp.

It is a sacred pilgrimage site for both the Hindus and Buddhists. During Janai Purnima Festival, thousands of the people make a pilgrimage to this site.
