Panchase trek in Annapurna region is one of the easier and short adventure programs in Nepal. Located south-west of Pokhara on the borders of Kaski, Parbat and Syangja, Panchase holds a religious significance among the locals; and for visitors, it is the highest hill with settlement in these parts. Due to its high altitude, numerous herbs with medicinal value are found on the slopes and forests. Besides, the vantage point offers thrilling views of the mountains such as Annapurna Range, Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal and others.

Panchase is an old village. You will see farmers growing vegetables on their terraced fields – a direct reflection of the simple lifestyle of this tiny village in the hills. As a picturesque and unique icon of this region, Panchase has clearly preserved its way of life for a long long time. This unique mid-hill trek of Nepal lets you experience the less-frequented wilderness in Annapurna. Along the way you can interact with people and stay at their homes as house-guests. An additional activity this trip provides is the opportunity for photography. You will find that dramatic lighting now and then will definitely attract you to take a few shots of the landscape along the way.

The trek starts from and ends in Pokhara. Avoid the traffic by visiting this region this year with Orbit Alpine Adventures. This 6-day trek to Panchase is suitable for moderately-fit trekkers. Although you can visit round the year, the best time to go to Panchase is late spring and early autumn.
