Your 10-day Annapurna Base Camp trek starts from Kathmandu. You will head to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport and take a short 25 to 30-minute flight to Pokhara. Upon landing in Pokhara, our representative will transfer you to the hotel. Pokhara is known for its natural beauty despite being a major commercial hub. The city boasts several stunning lakes and water bodies. During your stay in Pokhara, you can visit the Begnas Lake which is comparatively serene compared to the famous Fewa Lake, feel the gushing Davis Falls, explore the Gupteswor Mahadev Cave, or take a boating trip to the Taal Barahi temple at the middle of Fewa Lake.

In the evening, you can spend some time in one of the cozy cafes in Pokhara by the Fewa Lake and enjoy the lively ambiance before heading back to the hotel. 

The day starts with a hearty breakfast at your Pokhara hotel. After breakfast, you will get on a jeep to Ulleri. The 1.5-hour jeep ride gives you amazing mountain views of the Annapurna region. You will cover a total of 52 kilometers over the off-road trail. The road to Ulleri is quite narrow. So, you won’t find bigger buses on this route. After the bumpy ride, you will get out of the vehicle and start a short hike to your hotel/tea house in Ulleri. Take some time to unwind. In the evening, you can explore the village and take in the magical mountain vistas and views of the terrain.

You begin your hike today. Prepare to take on the ascend through lush rhododendron and oak forests. You will get occasional glimpses of Himalayan peaks like Annapurna South and Hiunchuli through the lush vegetation. Along the way, you will make your way through charming villages, terraced farmlands, and scenic waterfalls.

You will find key landmarks such as Banthali and Nangethanti. Here, you will find tea houses where you can briefly rest. Continue the steady uphill climb on the stone steps. The ascend can be challenging, especially for beginners.

Your day begins with an early morning trek to Poon Hill. You take on the trails before sunrise and reach one of the most spectacular viewpoints of the Annapurna region. The ascent takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour from Ghorepani, and you’ll reach your destination just in time for the sunrise. As the sun rises, you will get mesmerizing panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges soaked in the golden hues of the sun. Get your cameras ready as you would want to capture this memorable moment. You will head back to your hotel for breakfast then leave for Tadhapani. The trek now takes you on an ascent to Deurali Pass. Upon reaching the pass, you will hike downhill amid the dense rhododendron and oak forests. The trail offers stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges and you will further encounter scenic waterfalls. Treat yourself to the diverse wildlife like langurs and exotic birds.

You will find teashops at Banthali and Deurali. Take a brief rest there and continue on the rugged terrain to Tadapani. Tadapani is a quaint village offering panoramic views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre.

The trek from Tadapani to Upper Sinuwa covers approximately 12 kilometers. You will hike through dense rhododendrons and bamboo forests to Kimrong Khola. Next, begin your ascend to Chhomrong from where you can take in the beautiful view of Annapurna South and Macchapuchhre. From Chhomrong, you will continue your hike to the Modi Khola River before taking the final steep uphill climb to Upper Sinuwa.

The day starts with a hearty breakfast at your lodge in Upper Sinuwa. After breakfast, you’ll begin the trek toward Deurali. The route features a series of ascents and descents, with scenic views of cascading waterfalls and river streams. You’ll pass through key landmarks like Bamboo, Dovan, and Himalayan villages, where you can rest.

As you approach Deurali, the landscape transitions into a more alpine setting with sparse vegetation and stunning views of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South towering in the distance.

Your day begins with an early breakfast at your hotel in Deurali. Today, you’re heading to the trek’s highlight destination – the Annapurna Base Camp. The journey from Deurali to the day’s destination takes about 6 hours, and you will cover approximately 8 kilometers.

From Deurali, you will start with a gradual ascent along the Modi Khola. You will find the landscape transition from alpine meadows to rocky glacial terrain. The trail leading to Annapurna Base Camp further takes you across the Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Along the way, you will find stunning views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Gandharva Chuli. As you approach the Annapurna Base Camp, prepare for a steep ascent. Despite the challenge, the view from the Annapurna Base Camp is truly magical and worth the effort.

Take in the magnificent vista from the base camp. You can capture images of the Annapurna range, including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, and Annapurna III, and surrounding peaks such as Machhapuchhre, Gandharva Chuli, Tent Peak and many more. Spend the night amid the natural amphitheater in the Annapurna Base Camp amid the majestic peaks.

We recommend waking up early to witness the magical sunrise over the Annapurna range. The view of the sun rays painting the sky in hues of gold and orange is truly magical. After sunrise, you head for breakfast and continue your trek to Bamboo. The trek takes you back to the Macchapuchhre Base Camp from where you can take in the sight of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Gandharva Chuli. The trail takes you through open spaces and bamboo grooves as you retrace your path.

After a 7 to 8-hour hike, you will eventually reach Bamboo. This little village situated at an altitude of 3200 meters gets its name from the dense bamboo grooves. Enjoy the serene environment of the village and explore nearby locations before heading back to your hotel.

The journey from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda takes you through dense woodlands, offering panoramic views of surrounding mountains and lush valleys. As you descend, you’ll pass through charming villages, each showcasing the rich culture and lifestyle of the local communities.

The trail gradually leads to the banks of the Modi Khola River before arriving at Jhinu Danda. Here, you can unwind and rejuvenate in the natural hot springs, renowned for their soothing and therapeutic properties. After a day of trekking, the warm, tranquil waters provide the perfect setting for relaxation. Enjoy an overnight stay in the serene ambiance of Jhinu Danda.

From Jhinu Danda, you will need to take a short hike to Nayapul. Here, you will find a private jeep that will take you to Pokhara.
