As this trek takes you around the main Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, it is Buddhist Sacred Site Trail of the Khumbu region. You can have a panoramic view of the world’s tallest mountain without crossing the challenging trail of Everest Base Camp trek. This is named Everest Easy Trek as it is the shortest trekking package that completes around the lower elevation of Khumbu region.

You can experience the Sherpa villages, their lifestyle, occupation, unique culture, tradition, and ancient monasteries of the Himalayan region. Besides, you can have the close vista of the Great Himalayas and dense forests including the flora and fauna of Sagarmatha National Park. Trekking to the Buddhist Sacred Site Trail is possible throughout the year but the best time for this trek is spring and autumn. The days are fine with clear weather in these seasons you can have the captivating scenery of the glittering mountains.

Everest Easy Trek starts from Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region trekking, and goes past some Sherpa ethnic villages. The most fascinating attractions of this trek are the ancient monasteries of Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Thame, and Khumjung settlement areas. The monasteries are worth visiting due to the peaceful and tranquil environment that also gives a chance to observe Buddhist art and artifacts. A short hike to Khunde viewpoint gives you a 360-degree panoramic view of Mt. Khumbila, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku, Kogde Ri, and many more.

You get to visit Thame, the village of the famous Everest Summiteers, Apa Sherpa, and Kami Rita Sherpa. The Sherpa duos have set incredible records in the history of mountaineering in the world that can be an inspiration for all trekkers. It is also the childhood home to Tenzing Norgay, one of the first Everest Summiters on Friday, 29 May 1953. Thame, the last village of Khumbu Valley is best known for iconic landscapes and the residents untouched by the effects of modern technology. You can visit Thame Monastery which is one of the oldest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Solukhmubu region.

We have some alternative treks of Everest Easy Treks Such as: Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return, Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour, Everest Base Camp Short Treks and Everest Panorama Treks.

If you want to participate in the greatest festival of Buddhists, plan your Everest visit in November. Mani Rimdu Festival is the greatest of all celebrated at the premises of the Buddhist Monasteries by thousands of Sherpa people. The monks of the monasteries dance by wearing masks in traditional Sherpa songs in front of the Head Lama. This festival is celebrated to show the harmony between nature and culture, which are equally important for the happy living of the people.
