Detail Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,429ft)
You will be greeted at the Airport and will go to your hotel. You can freshen up and have some sightseeing. In the evening we will explain about the program ahead.

Day 02 : Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast, we will go for full day sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley. You will be accompanied by our professional tour guide. The sightseeing includes visiting Pashupatinath, Bauddhanath, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar square. Come back to hotel and in the evening you can hang-out around Thamel. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 03 : Drive to Samari Bhanjyang (1,250m/4,101ft) -7 Hours
After breakfast, we drive from Kathmandu to Samari Bhanjyang via Trishuli Bazaar by bus. The path leads with the beautiful scenery and passes through Trisuli Bazaar, a small town that was the center for trekking in this region and is home to a small but interesting traditional bazaar. After lunch at Trishuli bazaar we again drive through gravel road until you reach Samari Bhanjyang. While driving to the village you can view rice terraces, small gorges and green hills. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 04 : Trek to Katunje (765m/2,510ft) -7 Hours
After breakfast, we start our trek to Katunje. At first our trek goes downhill and later, uphill. After the walk for few hours our trek leads to flat lands. The path to the Katunje Bazaar is covered with pine and rhododendron forests, terraced farming, small streams and green hills. After a walk of 7 hours we reach Katunje Bazaar where you can have first quick look of Ganesh Himal from here. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 05 : Trek to Kintang Phedi (655m/2,149ft) -6 Hours
We begin our trek to Kintang Phedi (655m.) and it takes about five and half hours. In the beginning the trail goes downhill till Lapang Besi. Now you walk along the river bank until you reach Kintang Phedi. En route you pass several traditional villages, farming terraces, fishing spot and beautiful green hills. Kintang Phedi lies at the bank of Netrawati or Ankhu Khola (stream). There are few typical houses, shops with minimal supply and terraces where local people grow potatoes and other food grains.

Day 06 : Trek to Jharlang (1,500m/4,921ft) -6 Hours
We start our trek to Jharlang which takes about six hours. Then slowly walk by passing through the villages, terraces farming and green hills. This village is the settlement of Tamang, Brahmin and Chhetris respectively. They grow the maize, millet, rice, wheat, buck wheat and green vegetable. Jharlang is a Tamang village. You find a government school and many typical houses. The main occupation of the locals is agriculture. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 07 : Trek to Chalise (2,000m/6,562ft) -6 Hours
In the morning we start our trek from Jharlang to Chalise. This takes about six hours. We pass through the Tamang villages, in which Borang and Shertum among the famous Tamang villages. There are schools, health post, chortens and mani walls in these Tamang villages. The main occupations of the people are farming. From the Chalise you can look green hills, terraces and villages at far distance. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 08 : Trek to Hindung (2,345m/7,694ft) -6 Hours
Today we trekto Hindung which takes about five hours. We have to go downhill up to Menchet Khola (stream) and crossing this stream you trek steep up and then slowly reach Hindung. The people of this village are friendly and cooperative. The villagers mainly grow the potatoes, millet, barley, maize, beans and other vegetables. The village has got mani wall and prayer flags in some parts. This village is last village in our trek to Ganesh Himal Base camp. Stay overnight at camp.

Day 09 : Trek to Rajgang Kharka (2,570m/8,432ft) -6 Hours
In the morning, we walk to the Rajgang Kharka and it takes about five and half hours. The trail is flat land and covered with rhododendron forest and natural vegetation up to Rajgang Kharka. Rajgang Kharka is surrounded by beautiful forests and it mainly grassland. Except winter season the local people bring domestic animals especially sheep for grazing in the open land. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 10 : Trek to Ganesh Himal Base Camp (3,774m/12,382ft) -7 Hours
After breakfast, we trek for 6 hours to reach Kalo-Seto Kunda (two lakes) at base camp of Ganesh Himal. The trail leads by narrow and uphill, which is covered with forest for few hours. In this high altitude, we can find alpine grass. You can enjoy the sunset view of the glittering peaks of the Ganesh Himal Range as if welcoming you to their vicinity! During winter season, these lakes are ice-covered. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 11 : Rest Day at Ganesh Himal Base Camp
Today is extra day. We will be free for whole day. We can visit Kalo-Seto Kunda. These two lakes have religious significance and an interesting story behind their names as well. The surface of the Kalo Kunda (Black Lake) is made up of black rocks and the Seto Kunda (White Lake) has white rocks on its surface. From here, you can enjoy majestic views of Ganesh Himal (7,422m), Paldor Himal (5,896m) and many others above 6,000m. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 12 : Trek Back to Rajgang Kharka-5 Hours
After breakfast, we are ready for trek to Rajgang Kharka, which takes about six hours. The trail goes along the down and narrow path where we will find alpine grass on both sides of the trail. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 13 : Trek Back to Chalise -5 Hours
We start our trek from Rajgang Kharka to Chalise, which takes about six hours. The trail moves downhill all the way to Chalise. While trekking we will pass by forests till Hindung and crossing few traditional Tamang villages. Then we finally reach at Chalise. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 14 : Trek to Laba Besi (1,500m/4,921ft) -6 Hours
Today we walk towards Laba Besi and it takes about six hours. We trek downhill trail to Laba Besi. This trail pass through pine forests, Tamang villages, farming terraces, green hills and villages at far distance. Laba Besi lies at the bank of Ankhu and Laba Kholar. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 15 : Trek to Manyang Bhanjyang (2,934m/9,626ft) -5 Hours
In the morning we trek from Laba Besi to Manyang Bhanjyang for about five hours. The trail passes through beautiful rhododendron and pine forests. These forests are the home of various species of birds and wild animals. Then again from there our trail leads uphill to Manyang Bhanjyang. From here you can see the first sight of Ganesh Himal. The main crop is potato here. Manyang Bhanjyang is a point where we can find forests and grass land here. This is a perfect place for camping as your camping site is surrounded by rhododendron and oak forests.

Day 16 : Trek to Majgaun (2,200m/7,218ft) -6 Hours
After breakfast, we trek to Majhgaun which take six hours. The trail moves slowly down hill through the rhododendron and oak, villages, farming terraces and green hills. Today we can have pleasant views of Manaslu range, Buddha peak on a clear weather and other unnamed mountains and peaks. Reaching at Majhgaun we will find local people being busy in farming but some people have migrated elsewhere. Stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 17 : Trek to Budathum (750m/2,461ft) -6 Hours
We trek from Majhgaun to Budathum for about five hours. We will pass through village, forests, streams and terraces. The trail makes pleasant by beautiful scenery. Finally we reach Budathum. It is a small town with local old market. This village is conquered by Newar community. From here we can enjoy the stunning views of Manaslu range at far distance.

Day 18 : Trek to Aarughat (500m/1,640ft) and Drive to Kathmandu -9 Hours
We start our trek from Budhathum to Arughat Bazaar which takes about three hours. On the way, we pass through few streams, villages, farming terraces, small forests. Arughat Bazaar, covers a small area and has old market. In Arughat Bazaar, there is health post, school, market, motor able road. Then from Arughat Bazaar, we drive back to the Kathmandu. While moving ahead, you enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and people being engaged in their daily activities. Finally, you reach at the Kathmandu. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 19 : Airport Transfer
Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight we will take you to the Airport.
